With Dr. Henry Fung, DDS.FAGD, CAMD, L.Ac.
Dr. Henry Fung has integrated his knowledge and years of training in both Dental medicine and Traditional Chinese and Acupuncture to provide holistic approaches to his patients care both in Hong Kong and the US for 43 years. Currently, he still practices and teaches in Los Angeles, CA.
Many evidence based medicine have proved that the mouth (including teeth, gum and tongue) is a micro-environment of the body. The pathological change of the mouth reflects to the change of our inner heath. The mouth and body are interconnected, thus our teeth and gum have a direct influence to our Zhang-Fu organs. Disruptions to the flow of energy through the mouth may affect remote regions of the body and disruptions elsewhere may manifest in the mouth. These relationships are a result of communication between the Acupuncture Meridians and the Teeth. Dental problems, such as tooth decay, periodontal disease, malocclusion, trigeminal neuralgia, infection and inflammation of gums, discoloration or disfigurement of teeth, TMJ dysfunction, facial muscle pain, all of these can directly induce neuromuscular pain and pathological influence to our Zhang-Fu organs.
By taking this class, practitioners will be able to understand better about dental acupuncture and its benefit and will be able to identify mouth/teeth diseases and their influence to Zhang-Fu disease, thus providing proper dental acupuncture for pain control and diseases prevention. We are so grateful to have Dr. Fung who is well respected both Dental and TCM community to come to AZ to share his 43 years clinical knowledge and experience with us, so please do not miss this great opportunity to learn from the master in this field.
